The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Scholarships provide living stipends and tuition fee coverage to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy or research-focused professional doctorate at the University of Queensland. Scholarships support full-time, onshore postgraduate research candidates for the normal duration of the degree (PhD: 4 years; MPhil: 2 years). The number of scholarships awarded may vary.

Conditions d'éligibilité
Applicants must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, be studying full-time and onshore in Australia, be nominated by an enrolling school or institute at UQ, and be assessed by the Graduate Research School as meeting all conditions for admission to the higher degree by research program. Applicants must not hold a qualification at the same or higher level as the program they are undertaking and must not be receiving a Commonwealth-funded tuition fee scholarship. Evidence of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status is required.
Candidature
Submit an expression of interest (EOI) for the preferred program via the UQ application portal, identify and have support from a nominated supervisor, complete the 'Scholarship/Sponsorship' section of the EOI and upload confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status. If the EOI is supported, submit a final application by the relevant closing date.
