Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence 2027-2030

The Economic Statistics Centre of Excellence 2027-2030 is an invite-only funding award to support ESCoE’s high-quality research to improve economic measurement and enhance the production of key statistics. The funding will support development of innovative methodologies for economic and environmental-economic measurement, work with the Office for National Statistics on international measurement standards, and explore use of big data, machine learning and AI in economic measurement. The centre is expected to deliver an annual international economic measurement conference and collaborate with academic, policy and business stakeholders.

Funding to support ESCoE’s research activities over a 36-month award period and to support delivery of an annual international economic measurement conference; support for collaboration with ONS and partners.

You can only apply if you have been invited. international researchers can apply as ‘project co-lead (international)’ and should include other international collaborators as project partners.
