NQS Mission 2: Components, systems and architectures

A UKRI/EPSRC funding opportunity supporting research that advances components, systems and architectures for quantum networking and communications as part of the UK National Quantum Strategy Mission 2. It funds ambitious projects addressing scientific and technological challenges for secure, scalable quantum networks and the foundations of a future quantum internet. Projects should demonstrate how the research will strengthen UK research and innovation capability and consider pathways to impact and commercialisation. Projects may include industry and infrastructure partners where appropriate.

Research grant funding covering up to 80% of FEC (up to £2.56 million FEC); projects up to 33 months in duration; support for collaboration with partners.

Applicants must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for EPSRC funding. UKRI individual eligibility rules apply.
