Kaiser Permanente Student Loan Repayment Program – NUHW

The Kaiser Permanente Student Loan Repayment Program is a scholarship-type program administered by Scholarship America to repay qualified student loans for Kaiser Permanente employees who have completed a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in mental/behavioral health. Awards are paid to loan servicers and can provide substantial year-by-year repayment with a lifetime cap depending on degree type. Notifications to applicants are issued in July, with payments typically issued in August after funds are received.

Applicants must be a Kaiser Permanente NUHW member within specified bargaining units, have at least 1 year of service as of December 31, 2025, be an active KP employee scheduled to work 20+ hours per week, and hold a completed bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in mental/behavioral health with an existing loan balance as of January 1, 2025.
