Zoo Teens at Tulsa Zoo

Zoo Teens at Tulsa Zoo is a year‑round mentorship program for teens interested in animals, the environment and zoo careers. In the first year, participants work in the Tulsa Zoo Education Department and may progress to serve as zookeeper aides in animal departments across the zoo. Participation is by invitation after an application and an interview, with limited spaces each year.

Opportunity to work in various areas of the Education Department and potentially serve as a zookeeper aide; hands-on experience in a zoo setting.
