Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Residency Programme 2025

The Humboldt Residency Programme invites a transdisciplinary, international group of twelve participants to a six-week residency in Brandenburg/Berlin to develop and communicate ideas around a common theme. The 2025 topic is 'The Future of Food'. Participants meet in shared working spaces, collaborate across disciplines, and create formats to share their messages beyond academia. The programme provides a structured residency with opportunities to engage with stakeholders and produce outputs or public-facing formats.

Monthly allowance during the residency, travel allowance, accommodation, budget for formats or outputs, family accommodation and childcare support where applicable.

Applications are welcome from individuals from all academic disciplines who can demonstrate a relevant connection to the annual theme, including those with innovative or creative approaches to the topic.
