Maryam Mirzakhani Doctoral Scholarships

The Maryam Mirzakhani Doctoral Scholarships are awarded by the Fondation Mathématique Jacques Hadamard as part of the ‘Mathématique au Féminin’ initiative. The programme supports outstanding female students from licence or master level through to the completion of a doctoral degree at the École Doctorale de Mathématiques Hadamard. Recipients receive financial support during master studies and a guaranteed doctoral funding package as well as personalised supervision by the doctoral school.

Monthly allowance during master (€1,100), yearly master funding (€11,000), doctoral funding of at least €82,800 gross over three years, and personalised supervision by the École Doctorale de Mathématiques Hadamard.

Female students enrolled or enrolling in a licence or master in mathematics (M1 or M2) who intend to prepare a doctorate within the École Doctorale de Mathématiques Hadamard and demonstrate academic excellence.

Submit a complete application online on the foundation portal; dossiers are evaluated by a scientific committee; shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview by videoconference; final validation is conditional on obtaining the master degree and a thesis project with a doctoral supervisor.
