Ambassador of Aloha Scholarships

The Ambassador of Aloha Scholarships are monetary awards for full-time undergraduates and high school seniors who demonstrate financial need and athletic participation in specified water and beach sports. Applicants must be residents of Hawaii and U.S. citizens, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate leadership and community involvement reflecting the spirit of aloha. Scholarship funds are sent directly to colleges and prioritized for tuition, fees, and required course materials during full-time enrollment. Multiple awards are available and returning recipients have reduced requirements.

$4,000 scholarship paid to the recipient's college for tuition, fees, and required course materials

Full-time undergraduates or high school seniors demonstrating financial need; must be a resident of Hawaii and a U.S. citizen; must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0; must participate in canoeing, surfing, kayaking, swimming, diving, water polo, sailing, or volleyball with a record of accomplishments and intention to compete in college; should demonstrate leadership and community involvement.

Submit a personal statement, transcript of grades, two letters of personal reference, an athletic resume (last four years), color photos (headshot and sports action shot), and the FAFSA Student Aid Report; returning recipients have fewer requirements.
