Ralph W. Shrader Graduate Scholarship

The Ralph W. Shrader Graduate Scholarship awards $3,000 to full-time graduate students pursuing a master's or other graduate degree in STEM fields that support the mission of the AFCEA Educational Foundation. Recipients must be enrolled in at least their second semester and be taking at least two semester-equivalent courses. Funds are intended to cover tuition and course-related expenses. The scholarship is for students attending accredited academic institutions in the United States and living in the United States.

$3,000 awarded to support tuition and course-related expenses (fees, books, supplies, equipment).

Must be a U.S. citizen and a graduate-level student enrolled in at least two semester-equivalent courses in their second semester or later with a current overall GPA of 3.5 or higher. Applicants must be enrolled in a STEM-related field that aligns with AFCEA's mission and must not have an expected graduation date in the same year the scholarship is awarded.

Complete the online application with basic information and short-answer questions including a synopsis of relevant work experience, a personal statement of future career goals and alignment with AFCEA’s mission, and a brief summary of financial need. Submit current official graduate transcript, two letters of recommendation from faculty in the major field of study, current résumé, and undergraduate transcript (official or unofficial).
