First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) builder: programme entry

The First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) builder: programme entry is a UKRI competition stage for UK-registered businesses to seek support to develop climate technology FOAK projects. Successful companies at this expression of interest stage may be invited to apply for a larger grant in a subsequent FOAK builder phase. The stage offers funding support to help develop projects to the scale and scope required for the programme.

Grant support of up to £315,000 to develop a climate tech FOAK project; potential invitation to apply for a larger grant in FOAK builder phase two.

Open to single applicants only. To work alone an organisation must be a UK-registered micro, small or medium-sized enterprise and at the appropriate stage in developing a climate tech FOAK commercial project of the described scale and scope.

Expression of interest submitted via the Innovation Funding Service; single-applicant applications from eligible UK-registered SMEs.
