YLP MEXT Scholarship at GRIPS 2027

The YLP MEXT Scholarship at GRIPS 2027 is a fully funded master's scholarship for international students to pursue a Master of Public Policy or Master of Public Administration at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan. It provides comprehensive funding to cover tuition, living expenses, and travel costs for the duration of the degree. The program aims to develop national leaders in Asia and other regions and supports students from a wide range of countries.

Full tuition coverage, monthly stipend (JPY 242,000), economy-class travel from home country to Japan and back, and other approved study-related costs.

Non-Japanese nationals from eligible countries who hold a bachelor’s degree and are under 40 years of age as of October 1, 2026, with at least 3 years of full-time professional experience in Public Administration.

Applicants must apply via their country's Japanese embassy to obtain the MEXT scholarship application form, complete the GRIPS-related documents, and submit through the embassy as instructed.
