Novo Nordisk Fondens Pris til Naturfagsundervisere på Pædagoguddannelsen

Novo Nordisk Fondens Pris til Naturfagsundervisere på Pædagoguddannelsen is an annual prize recognising outstanding teachers at the professionshøjskoler' pedagogical programmes who work with nature, outdoor life and science pedagogy. The award acknowledges efforts to educate and qualify future pedagogues in developing learning environments and pedagogical courses with a natural science focus. The prize includes a personal honorarium and a larger institutional grant to be used for developing science teaching.

DKK 50,000 personal award; DKK 500,000 to the recipient's professionshøjskole for development of science teaching; participation and accommodation at Big Bang conference 2027.

The prize is open to teachers at the pedagogical programmes of the professionshøjskoler in the Danish Realm who teach within the specialization of day-care pedagogy with particular focus on science pedagogy, mathematical awareness and sustainability. Nominations must be submitted by the nominated teacher's head of education, dean or rector; students and colleagues are encouraged to propose candidates but the formal nomination must come from the institution.
