Knut and Alice Wallenberg AI Consultancy Grant

The Knut and Alice Wallenberg AI Consultancy Grant offers domain research groups with ongoing Wallenberg-related grants access to experienced AI consultancy to integrate AI into their research. Grants provide expert AI support from AI4S AB as integrated members of the research team, sharing code and analyses and participating in scientific output. Support is time-limited (measured in consultancy hours) and intended for projects that can start by 31 March. The cost of the consultancy is covered by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.

Access to AI4S AB senior AI consultants integrated into the research team for up to 700 effective hours (case-by-case decisions on exact hours); transfer of scripts, programs and analysis tools; potential co-authorship and technical assistance including help with dataset generation and compute assessment.

Eligible applicants are scientists (principal investigators/group leaders) employed at a Swedish university who have grants from the Wallenberg Foundations or are part of specified KAW strategic initiatives; postdocs and PhD students cannot be main applicants but may be part of the project. One PI may apply at most once every two years and there are limits on hours granted per PI/group.

Submit an application via the foundation's application portal including project description (max 1.5 A4 pages), data overview (max 1 A4), involvement plan (max 1 A4), CVs, and information on compute availability. Applications are evaluated by an expert panel and matched to AI4S skills.
