Informations
The Wallenberg Scholars programme provides long-term research funding to leading senior researchers at Swedish universities. Selected scholars receive a five-year grant intended to enable ambitious, high-impact research without the pressure to secure external grants. Universities nominate individual researchers who are of top international class and who can strengthen the institution's research profile. The grant is awarded to cover research activities and may include indirect costs up to a limit.
Avantages
SEK 5 million per year for five years to be used for research activities; up to 20% may be used for indirect costs and rent.
Conditions d'éligibilité
Universities may nominate individual researchers who have a permanent position at a Swedish university and for whom at least 80% of the total appointed working time is an appointment in Sweden. Nominations must include supporting documents on research merits, publications and institutional justification.
Candidature
Universities submit electronic nominations via the Foundation's e-application portal.
