Eliteprogramm für Postdocs

The Eliteprogramm für Postdocs is a funded programme that enables outstanding postdoctoral researchers at universities in Baden-Württemberg to carry out independently proposed and managed research projects. Grants are awarded for projects of up to three years and the foundation also offers accompanying events to develop teaching and research management skills and to promote networking among participants. The programme supports the recipients' path toward professorship by providing project funding and professional qualification opportunities.

Project funding of up to €200,000 for up to three years; access to networking events, training in teaching and research management, and regular network meetings.

Selected outstanding young researchers (postdoctoral researchers) at universities in Baden-Württemberg may apply; the postdoc's own salary position cannot be requested. Host universities must contribute at least 10% of the requested project costs. Certain universities have limits on the number of applications they may submit.

Applications are submitted via the eligible universities (which have fixed quotas for submissions); the programme is typically announced annually and selects up to 12 postdocs each year.
