Informations

The Biotechnology Regulatory Fellowship Program is a six-month, full-time professional development fellowship that engages early career professionals in building evidence and regulatory frameworks for novel biotechnology products. The program selects cohorts of fellows to participate in seminars, interactions with federal regulatory agencies, the White House, and congressional staff, and to complete a capstone horizon-scanning project. Fellows conduct work to identify future biotechnology products that may lack existing regulatory pathways and help expand agency options for regulation. The program also fosters cross-sector engagement and creates a network of professionals in the biotechnology economy.

Avantages

Stipend, seminars, interactions with federal regulatory agencies and policy staff, mentorship/engagement with Academy committees and staff, and a capstone project and network-building opportunities.

Conditions d'éligibilité

Early career professionals from academia, industry, government, and other sectors interested in biotechnology regulation may apply. The program will select 12 fellows annually for a six-month in-person term at the National Academies.

Candidature

Apply via the National Academies online application; applicants are reviewed, ranked, and selected by an oversight committee.
