The Primo-Levi-Preis is an award that honours chemists who have made notable contributions beyond their discipline in support of humanitarian causes. It was established in 2016 by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) together with the Società Chimica Italiana (SCI). The prize is awarded in odd-numbered years and consists of a ceramic and a certificate. The award commemorates Primo Levi and recognises efforts to promote transnational scientific cooperation and humanitarian engagement within the chemical community.
