Stipendium für Studierende mit Fluchterfahrung

The Stipendium für Studierende mit Fluchterfahrung is a scholarship programme for students with a refugee background who study at German higher education institutions. It provides individualized mentoring, an interdisciplinary educational programme and participation opportunities within the Studienwerk. Financial support is aligned with BAföG and includes a monthly payment and a study cost allowance, plus additional benefits such as support for study abroad.

Monthly stipend (up to €855 for family-insured students), €300 study cost allowance, individual mentoring, interdisciplinary educational programme, support for study abroad and opportunities for participation within the Studienwerk.

Applicants must have fled their home country and wish to study at a German state or state-recognised university in a full-time degree programme; they must not have exceeded the third semester, must not already hold a degree recognised as equivalent in Germany, must demonstrate German language skills at C1 level, and must belong to the group for whom BAföG entitlement exists based on their residence permit.
