CAN Outreach & Advocacy Awards

The CAN Outreach & Advocacy Awards are sponsorships granted by the Canadian Association for Neuroscience to individuals and groups who make contributions to the promotion of neuroscience research and education. Sponsorships support specific outreach or advocacy events or activities in Canada and may be in-person, virtual or via social media. Awards include a financial contribution, a letter of recognition, and publicity on CAN channels. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and awards are contingent on adherence to award criteria and budget availability.

Financial contribution up to $1000 CAD to support a specific event/activity; a letter of recognition from the CAN advocacy committee; a feature article about the event on CAN website and social media.

Trainees organising neuroscience outreach and advocacy activities in Canada may apply. Requests should be clearly justified and, if applicable, CAN should be acknowledged as a sponsor.

Applications must be submitted at least two months prior to the event.
