UNCF STEM Scholars Program for US citizen

The UNCF STEM Scholars Program identifies and provides scholarship and academic support for students who aspire to earn STEM degrees and pursue careers in STEM fields. It targets high school seniors entering college as first-time freshmen in fall 2026 and will award 75 scholarships. The program includes a tiered scholarship with additional STEM-related stipends, academic support and mentoring, and access to online resources.

Tuition scholarship up to $25,000 per year, a STEM-related project/internship stipend of $5,000, academic support and mentoring, access to online resources and other STEM-discipline support services.

Be a citizen, legal permanent resident, or national of the United States; be a high school senior entering college as a first-year student in Fall 2026; have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (unweighted); demonstrate financial need and readiness for STEM majors.

Submit the UNCF application with all required essays, a one-minute video essay, and letters of recommendation; complete demographic information and student record; ensure FAFSA-related information is provided as required.
