ASA-Programm 2027

The ASA-Programm is a development-policy exchange and scholarship programme for young people aged 21 to 30. It offers participation in international projects across Africa, Asia, Latin America and Southeast Europe, with a stipend during the project phase and preparatory seminars. The programme combines short pre-departure trainings with three or six months of project work in collaboration with local partners, aimed at gaining practical experience in development cooperation and related fields.

Stipend for three months, two multi-day preparatory seminars, hands-on project work with local partners, reflection opportunities, optional tutoring or alumni involvement after completion.

Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years old and either enrolled in a bachelor or master's program, or currently undergoing Ausbildung; they must have their place of residence in Germany or hold German citizenship and have German language proficiency at least level B2.

Apply through the ASA-Programm page; the application deadline is 20 January 2027, with information sessions on multiple dates listed on the site.
