Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) 2027 at the University of Amsterdam

The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) is awarded by the University of Amsterdam to attract outstanding non-EU/EEA students into its international classrooms for selected LLM Master’s programmes at the Amsterdam Law School. The scholarship provides a substantial financial award to support tuition and living costs for one academic year (2026–2027).

Applicants must hold a non-EU/EEA passport, be applying to a UvA Master’s programme for the first time, enrol as a full-time student for the academic year, and not be eligible for Dutch study grants.

Submit the complete LLM application before 15 January 2027 and submit the scholarship application via the UvA portal before 15 January 2027; upload required documents (transcripts, GPA, CV, motivation letter).
