NYS Phase V Applications 2026 Open: 100,000 SA Youth Posts

The National Youth Service (NYS) Phase V programme has opened applications for 100,000 opportunities across South Africa. It targets unemployed young people who want to gain practical experience, contribute to community development, strengthen workplace skills, and receive a monthly stipend during participation. Participants will engage in community service activities and receive a stipend as part of the programme.

Exposure to real work environments, improved communication and teamwork skills, practical service experience, community leadership exposure, better CV and employability profile, and increased confidence.

Applicants must be South African citizens aged 18-35, reside in the municipality where the site is located, be able to travel to the site, and be willing to contribute to community development.
