Abia State Teacher Recruitment 2025

The Abia State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MOBSE) opened Batch 2 applications for teachers to serve in primary and secondary schools across Abia State. The recruitment aims to address educator shortages, particularly in rural and riverine areas, to ensure every child in the state has access to quality education. Shortlisted candidates will proceed to assessments and deployment to schools.

Competitive monthly salary; placement in rural or riverine schools for at least five years; provision of teaching resources and school supplies.

Applicants must be Abian or a resident of Abia State, be below 45 years as of December 31, 2025, and hold at least one of the listed qualifications (NCE, B.Ed, B.Sc, B.A, M.Ed, M.Sc, Ph.D). Those without formal teaching credentials can apply but must obtain a recognized teaching qualification within two years of employment.
