MasterCard University of the Western Cape (UWC) Scholars Program 2025 for African Students

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) offers fully-funded master’s degree scholarships for academically talented young people from South Africa and other African countries. The program targets individuals facing economic and social barriers to higher education and emphasizes developing leadership and service orientation. Applicants must follow a two-step process: first apply for admission to UWC, then apply to the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.

Applicant must be no older than 30 years for a master’s degree, meet UWC’s minimum admissions requirements, and be prepared to begin full-time master’s study in January 2025.
