The IHDCYH Talks competition is a knowledge mobilization contest that showcases evidence-based communications designed to impact the health of children, youth, and families. The 2026 competition accepts videos, infographics, podcasts, and a new category for arts-based and creative knowledge sharing. Awards are offered, including dedicated awards for submissions relevant to Indigenous health.
Avantages & financement
Cash awards totaling up to $50,000 across approximately 16 awards, with per-award amounts including $3,500, $3,000 and $2,500 in the general categories and $3,500 for Indigenous Health Research Area awards.
Conditions d'éligibilité
The Nominated Principal Applicant (NPA) must be researchers, knowledge users, scholars and health professionals affiliated with Canadian postsecondary institutions or affiliated institutions (including hospitals, research institutes and other non-profit organisations with a mandate for health research/knowledge translation); undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral scholars engaged in research; individuals affiliated with Indigenous non-governmental organisations in Canada with a research/knowledge translation mandate; researchers and scholars working in municipal, provincial and territorial government where the activity is not funded by specific government programs; and non-governmental organisations with a research or knowledge translation mandate.
