ACCESS Nigeria Research Summer School 2026

A nine-day in-person summer school to strengthen research capacity of postgraduate students through practical training in research methodology, grant writing, proposal development, budgeting, project management and research impact. The programme combines guided sessions, hands-on exercises, peer review, proposal clinics and a final proposal pitch with feedback from experienced academics and research experts. By the end of the programme participants are expected to have improved skills to design research projects, developed a draft research proposal and identified funding opportunities. The event takes place at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Practical training in research methods and grant writing, hands-on exercises, peer review and proposal clinics, final proposal pitch with expert feedback, development of a draft research proposal.

Open to eligible Master’s and PhD students from Nigeria, Germany, Ghana, Tunisia, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Benin Republic.
