A five-day residential astronomy training programme combining lectures, hands-on software labs, project work and observational exposure to build practical research skills. It is aimed at early-career researchers and students to strengthen astronomy education and research capacity in the Himalayan and adjoining regions. The programme includes morning lectures, afternoon labs, evening observation sessions, and a final certificate on completion. Venues are UPES Bidholi Campus and Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical & Natural Sciences, Dehradun.

Conditions d'éligibilité
Final-year BSc (Physics, Applied Physics, Electronics, Astronomy, Applied Mathematics), M.Sc (Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Electronics, Astronomy), final-year B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech students in physics or computer science, and first-year university PhD students; priority to students from physics and astronomy backgrounds from the Himalayan region (Uttarakhand, J&K, Himachal, Ladakh) and neighbouring northern states. Early-career researchers and students are the intended audience.
