Yunnan Provincial Full Scholarship for International Students

A full scholarship offered by Yunnan Province for international students to pursue undergraduate, master, doctoral, Chinese language training or research projects at selected Yunnan universities. The scholarship covers tuition, campus accommodation and provides a monthly living allowance; recipients may join extracurricular and free travel activities organized by the schools. Applicants choose from designated majors at eight specified universities in Yunnan province. The programme is offered annually with an application period each year.

Full tuition coverage, free campus accommodation, monthly living allowance (1,700 CNY/month) and annual stipend amounts depending on level (25,000–40,000 CNY/year); participation in extracurricular activities and free school-organized travel.

Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health and meet age limits that vary by programme: undergraduate applicants not over 25, master not over 35, doctoral not over 40; Chinese language training requires completion of senior secondary school and age not over 35; specialised training requires at least second year university and age not over 45; research projects not over 50. Required academic statuses include completed high school, completed university or final-year university students, and completed or soon-to-be-completed master's degree where applicable.

Select 1–2 of the eight listed Yunnan universities and 1–2 majors; submit two Yunnan scholarship application forms, notarized and translated transcripts and highest diploma, HSK certificate, study/research plan (word counts vary by level), recommendation letters for master/doctoral applicants, health certificate (Chinese Ministry of Health form), and additional materials for arts/music applicants as specified.
