Fulbright - MTA Mobilitási Ösztöndíj 2026/2027

A mobility grant from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) to supplement Fulbright scholarships for young researchers for research activity in the United States during the 2026/2027 academic year. The award is a non-repayable supplement intended to support travel and stay-related costs. The call targets researchers affiliated with MTA-designated Excellent Research Institutions and aims to support a small number of awardees.

Monetary supplement of 500,000–3,000,000 Ft per award; expected number of supported applicants: 5.

Invitation-based application: candidates are selected by the Fulbright Commission from among those nominated for the Fulbright scholarship. Eligible candidates include Hungarian citizens employed at research sites entitled to use the MTA Excellent Research Institution designation who have won a Fulbright scholarship, and USA citizens conducting research at such MTA Excellent Research Institutions.

Invitation-based submission via the Kiegészítő MTA – Fulbright Ösztöndíj electronic application system (Akadémiai Adattár-linked). Required uploads include Fulbright award documentation, applicant data and a signed declaration form.
