The Eric and Wendy Schmidt AI in Science African Faculty Fellows Program supports African university faculty or equivalent researchers to develop AI-enabled research in science and engineering over a two-year period. Participants spend 12 months in residence at the University of Michigan and 12 months in Africa for research and/or training activities, with support from the program. The initiative aims to enable AI-driven research breakthroughs and sustained collaboration between the University of Michigan and African scientists and institutions.

Conditions d'éligibilité
African researchers at the level of university faculty or equivalent roles, with a PhD conferred before the fellowship start date (August or September 2027), across science and engineering domains, including postdoctoral candidates.
