African Union (AU) Digital & Innovation Fellowship Program 2026

The AU Digital & Innovation Fellowship is a 12-month immersive program that places digital innovators within AU institutions. Fellows receive tailored capacity building, professional development, international exposure, and financial support while co-developing technology-driven solutions to strengthen governance and public service delivery across AU systems.

Structured capacity building and professional development; immersive institutional experience; monetary stipend and equipment/learning budgets; continental and international exposure through bootcamps and travel; contribution to institutional change and knowledge transfer.

Be a citizen of an African Union member state, based in Africa, under 35 years old at the time of application, hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and demonstrate experience with designing or implementing technology products or data-driven projects.
