The African Union (AU) Internship Program 2025 for young Africans

The AU Internship Program offers a full-time placement for interns to gain professional exposure within the African Union, across multiple departments. It is aimed at individuals who are pursuing or have completed higher education and who are interested in the work of the AU and in developing professional skills in an intercultural environment.

Hands-on professional exposure in AU departments; development of administrative and technical skills; intercultural work environment

Citizens of African Union member states; actively enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor's degree or hold a related Bachelor's/Master's degree; fluent in at least one AU working language; not older than 32 at the time of selection.

Applications are submitted online through the AU internship portal; applicants must provide supporting documents including a motivation letter, identity document, certificates, CV, and a recommendation letter.
