Leiden University Excellence Scholarships (LexS)

The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) provides partial tuition waivers for outstanding non-EEA/non-EFTA students enrolling in full-time master's degree programmes at Leiden University in the Netherlands. The awards are not full scholarships and recipients may still need to show proof of funds for visa purposes. The exact award amounts vary by faculty and are awarded subject to the annual budget.

Apply online for admission to a Leiden master's programme; if eligible for the LExS, indicate the scholarship in the online application and upload a motivation letter for the LExS
