Open Doors Fellowship Program 2026 for Women Researchers in Africa

The Open Doors Fellowship Program 2026 targets post-doctoral and mid-career women researchers conducting agricultural research in Africa. The program combines a fully-funded short research phase in Belgium with subsequent online training and mentoring over a 20-month period to strengthen researchers’ networks, skills, and career progression.

Fully funded research opportunity in Belgium, training in cross-cultural communication and project proposal writing, access to online training portfolios, scientific communication support, and financial incentives to attend congresses and cover open-access publication fees.

Applicants are post-doc female scholars (minimum one year after defending their Ph.D.) or in mid-career positions who face challenges to progress due to limited training, infrastructure, and networks.
