Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2026-2027 For Specially-Abled Student (Diploma & Degree)

Saksham Scholarship Scheme is an AICTE initiative aimed at supporting specially-abled students pursuing technical education at AICTE-approved institutions in degree or diploma programs. The scheme provides a lump-sum financial assistance of Rs 50,000 per year to eligible students to cover college fees and related costs, for up to 4 years (degree) or up to 3 years (diploma for lateral entry). Applications are processed through the National Scholarship Portal with institution verification.

Rs 50,000 per year for the duration of study (up to 4 years for degree, up to 3 years for diploma for lateral entry), toward fees and related expenses.

Specially-abled students admitted to the first year of a degree course or to the second year through lateral entry in AICTE-approved institutions, with disability of at least 40% and family income not exceeding Rs 8 lakh per annum.

Apply online on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP); host institution verifies the online application; state/UT DTE conducts second-level verification.
