United Nations University Sustainability Scholarship

The United Nations University Sustainability Scholarship covers full tuition for selected postgraduate study in sustainability, accompanied by a monthly living stipend and travel/insurance support. It targets recent graduates and professionals pursuing Master’s or PhD programs at UNU-IAS in Tokyo, Japan, with a focus on sustainability research and policy impact.

Full tuition coverage, monthly living allowance, travel costs to and from Japan, health and accident insurance, research and/or housing allowances as applicable.

Applicants must be from developing countries, not currently enrolled in another postgraduate degree, and must meet program-specific requirements for MSc or PhD in Sustainability. English proficiency is required for MSc; PhD applicants must have relevant work experience and English proficiency where applicable.
