The ACLS Summer Institute for the Study of East Central and Southeastern Europe (SISECSE) is a residential two-week academic workshop for scholars researching the history, societies, cultures, politics, and transformations of East Central and Southeastern Europe. The programme provides a collaborative environment for focused research, interdisciplinary engagement, and opportunities for archival and fieldwork in the region. Participants are expected to be in residence for the duration of the institute and to take part in all planned events.

Requisiti
Applicants must have a PhD degree conferred by the application deadline or demonstrate the equivalent of a PhD in publications and professional experience. The competition is open to scholars in the humanities or interpretive social sciences pursuing postdoctoral or advanced research focused on East Central and Southeastern Europe; applicants must have an affiliation (preferably a long-term regular research or teaching appointment) with an institution in North America (Canada, Mexico, US) or East Central and Southeastern Europe. Applicants of any citizenship are eligible; applications must be submitted in English.

Submit an application through the ACLS Online Fellowship and Grant Administration (OFA) System by the deadline, including application form, essay (1100 words max), bibliography, publications list, statement of interest (600 words max), and any optional supporting materials.
