Civic Space Lab Reformers’ Program 2025

The Civic Space Lab Reformers’ Program offers tailored support to governments to address civic space challenges and strengthen civic freedoms. It provides guidance, technical expertise, and a peer-learning network to reform civic space policies and practices within participating administrations.

Participants receive expert facilitation, technical expertise, access to a peer-learning network, and support for resource mobilisation and recognition of reforms.

Open to governments undertaking meaningful democratic reforms and to administrations with ministerial-level commitment to addressing civic space challenges through concrete actions.

To apply, submit a letter from a government minister or equivalent institutional leader outlining commitment, challenges, focus areas, existing reform initiatives, ministerial support, collaboration with civil society, expected outcomes, preferred deliverable, and willingness to share knowledge.
