The 431 Exchange Scholarship

The 431 Exchange Scholarship is a financial assistance programme for adult learners enrolled in accredited colleges, universities, vocational, trade, and technical schools in Louisiana. Awards are up to $1,431, with previous recipients potentially eligible for an additional $431 Lift Scholarship. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, equipment, room and board, travel, and research-related educational expenses. Applications are reviewed on a first-qualified, first-served basis with only the first 100 qualified submissions accepted during each application period.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be U.S. citizens or eligible residents of Louisiana, demonstrate financial need, and be enrolled in an accredited college, university, vocational, trade, or technical school located in Louisiana (qualifying online programs offered by Louisiana institutions are eligible). Applicants should be willing to work during the educational program if necessary and must provide proof of enrollment if selected as a finalist.

Complete the official scholarship application, provide personal information, high school graduation or GED details, continuing education history, a personal statement and short responses about motivation and inspiration, institution and GPA details, career goals, and contact information for two non-family references; finalists must submit proof of enrollment.
