Native American Congressional Internship Program

The Native American Congressional Internship Program places Native American and Alaska Native students in Washington, DC to gain practical experience with the Federal legislative process. The program is comanaged by the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation and the Native Nations Institute at the University of Arizona. It is designed to help participants understand the government-to-government relationship between Tribes and the Federal Government. The program honors the legacies of Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall in areas including tribal self-governance, health care, and stewardship of public lands and natural resources.

Practical experience with the Federal legislative process and understanding of government-to-government relations between Tribes and the Federal Government.
