University of British Columbia Fellowships 2027

The University of British Columbia Fellowships 2027 is a funded postdoctoral fellowship program linked to the Schmidt Science Fellows initiative. It targets graduates pursuing a year or more of postdoctoral study in laboratories worldwide, with a focus on interdisciplinary scientific leadership across computing, natural sciences, engineering and mathematics. Fellows receive a substantial stipend and participate in global meetings and bespoke training as part of the fellowship.

Stipend of $110,000 per year; full-time postdoctoral research period; residential meetings; access to training and networking opportunities.

Canadian, permanent residents, and international candidates who hold a graduate degree in Computing, Engineering, or Natural Sciences and are able to complete a PhD or are expected to complete one between May 2026 and June 2027; must be available for the entire period from July 2027 to September 2028.

Nomination through graduate programs with materials including a CV, aStatement of alignment and interest, and a proposal for potential postdoctoral research directions; successful nominees are invited to submit a full application to Schmidt Science Fellows.
