The Nordic Africa Institute offers Africa-focused study scholarships for early-career researchers based in Africa to develop their research on contemporary Africa in a rigorous scientific environment. The fellowship supports a 90-day stay at the Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala, Sweden, with the aim of strengthening knowledge production on Africa and fostering links between African and Nordic researchers.

Roundtrip airfare in economy class, covered accommodation, daily sustenance allowance, installation grant, workspace with a computer, and access to institutional and university libraries; opportunities for networking with Institute researchers.

Early-career researchers based in Africa pursuing Africa-focused research; doctoral students, postdocs within 4 years of PhD, and other researchers eligible under categories defined by the Institute.
