Call for Applications: Digital GreenTalents Award 2025

The Digital GreenTalents Award, hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), seeks to recognize high-potential young scientists working at the intersection of digitalization and sustainable development. The award includes a fully funded, up to three-month research stay in Germany in 2026, mentoring, and access to a network of leading German institutions and the Digital GreenTalents alumni network.

Fully funded three-month research stay in Germany; mentoring; invitation to a one-week SpringSchool during the stay; access to the Digital GreenTalents alumni network; international travel to and from the research stay and travel to the SpringSchool within Germany funded by the program; formal virtual award ceremony.

Current enrollment in a doctoral program or within 3 months after graduation, or current enrollment in the last year of a master’s program; age up to 30; proficient in English; strong grades; commitment to participate in all parts of the program.

Applicants submit details through the online application form, including personal background, research topic, host institution ideas, and a short motivation response; required documents include enrollment proof or PhD proof, transcripts, English proficiency, and a resume.
