Electronics Technician

The Electronics Technician is a technical staff position supporting the integration, commissioning and testing of services and infrastructure for the CMS Tracker construction at CERN. Responsibilities include preparation and validation of services, reception testing of components and detector assemblies, setup and operation of test electronics, and maintenance of production test records. The role requires hands-on assembly, wiring and electrical testing experience and a higher technical diploma or equivalent experience.

Minimum net entry-salary of 5929 Swiss Francs/month; 30 days paid leave plus 2 weeks closure; CERN health insurance for employee, spouse and children; membership of CERN Pension Fund; family, child and infant allowances; relocation package (installation grant, removal, travel expenses) depending on circumstances.

Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State (with certain nationalities excluded where ceilings have been reached). Candidates must have relevant qualifications and professional experience; previous CERN staff contract holders are not eligible.
