The Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice (NSSCJ) is a hybrid training programme for youth climate activists that combines online preparatory modules with an in-person residential course. The programme provides lectures, workshops, field visits and networking to build skills for youth-led climate justice initiatives. The in-person segment is scheduled to take place at Addis Ababa University and is followed by an alumni network and ongoing virtual forums. A limited number of competitively awarded scholarships are available.
Benefici
For fee-paying participants: access to online modules and/or in-person training, field visits, networking, and a certificate. Scholarship winners receive tuition coverage and some additional costs; in-person package descriptions include return economy airfare, visa support, accommodation, meals, tuition, and certificate (as applicable).
Requisiti
Applicants must be 18–35 years old with minimum O-level (or equivalent) education; fluent in English, French, or Portuguese; open to activists, researchers, community leaders, students, and professionals. Non-Ethiopian participants require a passport.
Candidatura
Register via the NSSCJ Application Portal and complete the online survey and preparatory modules; submit proof of age, education, language proficiency, and passport copy if applicable; successful applicants will be notified by email.
