International Astronomy Olympiad

The International Astronomy Olympiad is an annual astronomy competition for high-school students founded in 1996. It is one of the International Science Olympiads and is held each year in the period from September to December in an astronomical centre hosted by one of the member states. School pupils compete in several age groups. The event rotates between member countries.

School children (high-school age) in several age groups may take part; participation is organised through the Olympiad member states.
