DFG–Universidad Nacional de Colombia Joint Research Grants (Standing Open Procedure)

A joint funding scheme between the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL) for bilateral research projects. Researchers from Germany and UNAL may apply for jointly organised projects of outstanding scientific quality with a funding period of up to three years. Proposals are submitted in parallel to both funders and funding is contingent on positive assessment by both organisations. The scheme operates under a Standing Open Procedure allowing submission at any time.

Project funding for bilateral research projects with a funding period of up to three years.

Researchers from Germany and from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia may apply jointly; DFG eligibility rules (including duty to cooperate for applicants at non-university research institutions) apply.

Parallel submission of identical proposals to both DFG (via the elan portal) and UNAL (via UNAL’s Hermes System); German applicants submit through the DFG elan portal and tag the proposal "COLOMBIA UNAL 20XX – Joint Research Grants".
