Research-based Innovation for Quality, Efficiency and Renewal in the Norwegian Public Sector

A competitive call for project grants to promote research-based innovation and restructuring in the Norwegian public sector. Projects should contribute to renewal, increased quality and efficiency in services, infrastructure and administration, and have clear potential for implementation and/or scaling. The call includes thematic streams (Circular Economy, Education, Health, Civil Protection and Emergency Preparedness, and Innovation Across the Public Sector) with specified budgets and allowed project funding ranges.

Project grant funding in the amounts/ranges specified per theme; support for implementation and scaling of innovations in the public sector.

Projects must respond to specific needs in the Norwegian public sector, include relevant partners and user participation, and have a project steering group composed of partner representatives.

Applications are submitted via the Research Council of Norway's new application system (online application portal).
