UNDP Tanzania Insurance Innovation Challenge (IIC) 2025

Applications are open for the UNDP Tanzania Insurance Innovation Challenge (IIC) 2025, a hackathon-style challenge organized to develop innovative insurance solutions for Tanzania. The event is supported by UNDP Accelerator Lab Tanzania and conducted in partnership with the Association of Tanzania Insurers (ATI) and the Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA). The challenge crowdsources ideas from diverse participants and culminates in a final solution with a prize and several months of technical assistance.

Prize money and six months of technical assistance across multiple domains including strategy, market research, process improvement, digitalization, product design, reinsurance, digital solutions, social marketing, and access to global capacity-building and mentorship.

Applicants must be Insurance intermediaries, aggregators, insur-techs, Fin-techs, distribution channels, and other related private sector actors operating in Tanzania.
